Curriculum vitae

After obtaining his electrical engineering degree in Darmstadt, Georg Vièl first joined Telefunken GmbH as a design engineer in the measuring laboratory. He trained in industrial property while working for Standard Elektrik Lorenz AG in Stuttgart and subsequently built up a patent department at Wandel u. Goltermann GmbH in Reutlingen. He passed the German Patent Attorney examination in 1969 and has been a European Patent Attorney since 1978. Georg Vièl headed the Patent & License department of Saarstahl AG in Völklingen for nearly twenty years, and in this position was involved mainly with international license agreements and employee invention law. In 1983, he took over the Stein patent-law office in Saarbrucken and founded his own business, which continues today under the name “Patentanwaltskanzlei Vièl & Wieske”.
