Curriculum vitae

After studying physics at Saarland University with a focus on theoretical quantum optics, Tristan Tentrup moved to the University of Twente in the Netherlands in 2014. There he completed his doctorate in 2018 in the field of experimental quantum cryptography. As part of his PhD, Tristan Tentrup supervised the setup of optical experiments. His research included wavefront shaping with SLMs (Spatial Light Modulator) or DMDs (Digital Micromirror Device) and single photon detection with EMCCD (Electron Multiplying Charge-Coupled DCevice) and ICCDS (Intensified Charge-Coupled Device).

After his doctorate, Tristan Tentrup started his training in intellectual property law at the patent law firm Vièl and Wieske in March 2019. Further training stations were completed at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court in Munich. Tristan Tentrup passed his patent attorney examiniation in August 2022. He is admitted as Patent Attorney (Germany) since October 2022.
